I love the power of a good book's ability to transport me to another time and space. I like to be read to and enjoy listening to Audio books. They occupy the part of my mind that wants to figure things out and they free up my creative mind to do things without the analytical constantly questioning it. I don't know why my mind likes to be jam packed with information, but there you have it. I think that is why my paintings tend to have so much going on in them.

I have always been interested in how people view the Muses. Sometimes when I am painting there is a whole gallery of voices roaming through my thoughts instructing me, making suggestions etc. Are these voices parts of me or the Muses getting into the act? I just ordered a book from the library to research these characters more.

As a girl growing up in Long Beach CA I wanted a horse for many years. I got a chance in high school to spend a summer in St. Louis working in a Stable, learning to ride, going with the owner to buy new horses, and mucking out the stables. I loved it and realized how much time it took to own a horse. It cured me of wanting to own a horse. I guess I would rather be painting, but I still love them!
