Hunters Point Open Studios

This is one of the views from the studio I had the honor of using at the recent Hunters Point Open Studios. Many visitors commented on it. It was my first time showing at Hunters Point and I got to meet many new artists and reconnect with people from the past. I had a great time and it was a successful show. I want to thank my buddies Bob Armstrong (see his art here) and Michael Rodman (visit his website here) for allowing me the use of it. They shared a larger studio during the Open Studios in building 101.

If you missed this Open Studio Please join me in my own Studio in Stinson Beach on Thanksgiving weekend. Seven Artists in Stinson Beach and 21 in Bolinas will be opening their studios. Click here for more details and directions to my studio. You can pick up a map when you get here or pick up one at the Stinson Beach Market at the Stop sign. Below is a corner of my studio. I will have new work, some work from past series and small paintings on paper for purchase. Stop by to say Hi even if you are not presently in the market for art.

Meet the Author

Anthony Bidulka, author from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan bought this painting titled "Fish Tales"
He was attracted to it before knowing what I meant by the title. My answer was something like "Have you ever caught a fish? How big was it?" as he was thinking about it I added "The best stories are at least a little bit exaggerated". I only found out that he was a writer of mystery novels after he decided to add the painting to his collection.

You can visit his website by clicking here Meet the Author.

"Fish Tales"
This painting was inspired from a doddle in my sketch book. It is part of my "Shared Vision" series where multiple faces share the same eyes. These eyes happened to take on a life of their own becoming little fish sharing in the telling of stories.
